About & Contact

Australia hosts an amazing diversity of retiles (and to a lesser extent frogs). For whatever reason, I find them rather interesting which has led to my current PhD project looking at macroevolutionary patterns in Australian geckos as part of the Keogh lab.

On the side, I spend far too many hours driving to seemingly random parts of the country in search of said reptiles and frogs. Along the way, I’ve made several close friends with the same interests who luckily make the many hours on the road much more bearable. Together, we’ve explored many a national park, roadside verge and remote servo in our ongoing quest for small brown skinks.

After completing several such longer trips around parts of the country in search of various herpetofauna, I decided I wanted to share some of my adventures through my own writing. Social media could really only take me so far, nobody wants to read a multi paragraph essay on Facebook or Instagram. So I made a website.

I hope you enjoy my rambling writings about our reptilian and amphibian friends. You can also find most of my photos under the photography tab.
